Once again, we are calling on DEFRA to reject Southern Water’s plan to recycle sewage effluent into drinking water, and to demand they properly explore other cheaper, greener solutions first.
Southern Water and Portsmouth Water customers have:
- Huge environmental concerns
- Deliberate suppression of cheaper, greener solutions for financial reasons
- Totally inadequate consultation
- A complete breakdown of public trust in Southern Water
- The risk of water tasting different, in turn driving customers towards bottled water with further huge environmental impact
